Privacy and data processing
Privacy statement
Energy Intelligence (by COMCAM) works with the energy data of business organisations. Handling data carefully is therefore not a side issue for us, it is the core of the work. This statement explains which personal data we process through this website, why we do so and what rights you have.

What this statement covers
This statement covers the use of this website: the contact form, the meeting planner, the chat assistant, the postcode check and the measurement of website use.
Separate agreements apply to platform customers. Metering data, consumption data and connection data that we process on a customer's instructions are covered by the data processing agreement attached to the contract. We do not use that data for any other purpose.
Which data we process
We only process data you provide yourself, plus the technical data needed to run and secure the website. We never ask for special categories of personal data and we do not process data about people under the age of 16.
- What you enter in the contact form or the meeting planner.
- What you type in the chat assistant.
- A postcode when you use the grid capacity indication.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser, device and the page requested.
Purposes and legal bases
For each purpose, the table below shows which data we use and on which legal basis under the GDPR we do so.

Legitimate interest: assessing your request and preparing the conversation.
Scheduling a call

Performance of the appointment you schedule yourself.
Questions through the chat assistant
The messages you type and technical characteristics of the conversation.
Legitimate interest: answering your question and improving the assistant.

The postcode you enter. We do not link it to your name.
Performance of the function you start yourself.

Your consent through the cookie notice.
Third-party services
We outsource part of the technology. We have a data processing agreement with every party that processes personal data on our behalf. They may only use the data for the task we assign.

How long we keep data
We do not keep data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we received it. After that we delete it or make it anonymous, so that it can no longer be traced back to you.
If a request does not lead to cooperation, we delete the request once the contact has been concluded. If you become a customer, the retention periods in the contract apply, along with the statutory periods that govern our administration. If you would like your data removed sooner, that is possible: see your rights below.
Security and transfers
The website works exclusively over an encrypted connection. Access to requests and chat conversations is limited to employees who need it for their work. Our analytics tooling is configured to record as little data as possible.
Some of our suppliers are established outside the European Economic Area. For those transfers we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on an adequacy decision. Where possible we choose an EU region, as we do for hosting, the storage of chat conversations and our product analytics.
Your rights
In respect of your personal data you have the following rights:
- Access to the data we hold about you.
- Correction of data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure of data we no longer need.
- Restriction of processing, or objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Portability of the data you provided yourself, in a commonly used file format.
- Withdrawal of your consent for analytics and marketing cookies, at any time.
You can send a request to the email address below. We respond within one month. To prevent us from handing data to the wrong person, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
Questions or a complaint
Do you have a question about this statement, would you like to exercise a right, or do you feel we should handle your data more carefully? Let us know and we will sort it out together.
If we cannot resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the supervisory authority for privacy in the Netherlands.
