Cases

Proof from your own data.

A cross-section of real-world situations in hospitality, healthcare, industry, real estate, agriculture and charging infrastructure: from first insight to a concrete next step.

Hospitality

Hospitality associations meet the EBS obligation

Result

More than 50 hospitality businesses now meet the EBS obligation.

Hospitality businesses using more than 50,000 kWh of electricity or 25,000 m³ of natural gas are required to have an energy monitoring and management system (the Dutch EBS requirement). Through Energy Intelligence they meet that requirement, with insight into consumption and peak moments and the ability to control peaks.

Retail

Clothing chain compares 15 locations

Result

15 store locations nationwide compared against each other on consumption.

The chain sees how stores perform relative to one another on energy consumption and uses capacity analysis for insight into the room available to electrify.

Ports & logistics

Port company bundles scattered site meters

Result

Separate meters brought together into a single daily updated overview.

Separate electricity meters for light masts, buildings and cameras made the overall picture hard to see. Energy Intelligence shows a clear total consumption that updates daily.

Construction

Construction firm buffers its own generation with batteries

Result

A local buffer keeps full grid capacity free for charging and operations.

Faced with limited grid capacity and low compensation for exported power, the client stores its own generation locally and tops up during negative prices, with an EMS for generation and charge points on its own site.

Healthcare

Care foundation integrates four systems into one

Result

Four separate ecosystems bundled into one platform, with cost savings.

Consumption monitoring, solar panel management, energy procurement and invoicing were spread across four systems. With the move to Energy Intelligence everything came together and the overview returned.

Sport & recreation

Sports hall earns from congestion management

Result

A monthly payment plus a payment per curtailment request.

At the grid operator's request, the sports hall switches off its solar park to relieve the grid: an example of the new revenue models emerging from the energy transition.

Industry & logistics

Capacity analysis without grid reinforcement

Result

Capacity overruns substantiated across multiple connections.

Without reinforcement from the grid operator, the capacity analysis examines organisation-wide use to support decision-making: shifting activities, restructuring or adding batteries, possibly with submetering.

Aquaculture & hospitality

Restaurant and fish farm split consumption per tenant

Result

Consumption separated per business activity and tenant through submetering.

Part of the property is let and still shares the main connection. Submetering maps the consumption of cooled storage, restaurant, production and charging area for financial settlement.

Automotive

Active portfolio management minimises procurement risk

Result

Daily consumption data adjusts the procurement strategy in time.

Because consumption for all connections is retrieved daily, the procurement strategy can be adjusted when consumption is suddenly higher or lower, avoiding unnecessary additional costs after the fact.

Advisory

Investment advice for solar and battery

Result

A substantiated business case for solar panels plus battery storage.

With the energy dashboard and the financial and capacity analysis, COMCAM supports the client on the question: what is the impact on their situation and is the investment profitable?

Charging infrastructure

From onion farmer to charging hub in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen

Result

2.5 MW of solar production and a 10 MWh battery steer the charging.

Groen Goud Biervliet has 9 fast-charging bays (including a dual 485 kW fast charger for trucks). From late 2026 it will charge 20 electric buses, mainly at night. The EMS provides insight and steers the 10 MWh battery to make the best use of on-site generation.
